Wacky Tag
Ebonymommy tagged me over 2 weeks ago and I'm finally getting around to playing. Sorry that it took me so long!
Well, I'm supposed to post 6 wacky facts about myself, but I don't think wacky is a word that really describes me. I see myself as being more serious. I tend toward the literal and I have a dry sense of humor, though I've been known to laugh at stupid, physical comedy.
Anyway, I decided to post 6 facts about myself that you may not know. I think they hardly even qualify as interesting, let alone wacky.
1. I had always hated peanut butter. I wouldn't go near it until I was 31 and had just given birth to Theo. I was about 6 weeks post-partum and out of nowhere I had a strong craving for it. I have eaten it nearly everyday since then.
2. Philosophically I'm opposed to plastic surgery. However, having 3 babies in less than 4 years has done quite a job on my stomach. The hypocritical side of me fantasizes about a tummy tuck.
3. I don't really watch television. I haven't had a regular show since the days of Brenda and Dylan. I have never seen an epsiode of Americal Idol, Desperate Housewives, Survivor, Grey's Anatomy, CSI or Lost. For the past 5 or 6 years I have probably watched more episodes of Dragon Tales, Little Bear and the like than I have adult shows.
4. You would have to work really hard to hurt my feelings. (Not that I'm putting out that request) I figure that if you are rude for some reason, it's most likely because of something going on within yourself. After all, it's not always about me.
5. As a girl I was a Barbie fanatic. I was positive that I was the oldest girl ever, still playing with them secretly in my room at age 12.
6. And for the most fascinating of all... I can only read long lists from the bottom up. If I don't start at "Z" my mind goes blank and I cannot concentrate on the list at all. I have tried to force myself many times to start at the beginning and it just does not work.

I'm with you on the whole #3 no television thing. I did used to be addicted to Survivor and Bachelor but have not watched a show since my girl was 2 years old. I've never even heard of most of the shows on right now! I occasionally have Food TV on for a bit while I iron (I used to watch this a lot while I quilted or cross-stitched) ... my only regular TV viewing these days is DORA!
