I'm Still Here
It has been a busy few weeks. (When is it not?!) Since I last posted we visited Mt. Vernon.
It was not an ideal trip because on our way down to Virginia we got rear-ended at the Ft. McHenry Tunnel Tollbooth outside of Baltimore on I-95. The kids were fine but Eric and I ended up with a minor case of whiplash. So the next morning when we went to Mt. Vernon we were pretty sore and stiff. Oh Well. Our minivan still has a big dent in the back but is going to be repaired next week.
The preceding weekend we went to Rocking Horse Ranch near Poughkeepsie, NY with Eric's family to celebrate Eric's father's 65th birthday.
The kids rode horses....
Learned how to juggle and do other tricks...
And sang karaoke, all with cousins.

Back down our way huh? We really mena to go to Mount Vernon since it is like 20 minutes away, we just have not managed yet. All of the great touristy things to do in DC have just been to hard for us with small kids...or we would be really interested in them but our kids would be bored to death at some of them. So like after we move away for a few years they will think the DC area has a lot to offer. In the meantime, we'll be taking our vacations snorkeling or skiing!
